Telehealth (also referred to as "virtual practice") is the use of technology to deliver healthcare services without direct contact between the practitioner and the patient. Some examples of technology used for Telehealth Services include: Telephone, Email and Video Conferencing.
At this time of COVID-19, The Chief Medical Officer has encouraged Health Care Providers to use Telehealth when appropriate and necessary.
This will allow continuation of care to "at risk" patients, by minimizing the amount of time they have to physically come into the clinic.
At Taking Care of Me, we have always used certain forms of Telehealth (ie, Phone Calls, Texts, Emails) to maintain patient care and support, when coming to the clinic is not possible.
We are now in the process of implementing "Video Conferencing Support" as part of our Telehealth Services.
